This Should Have Swept The Nation

September 10, 2010

Have you ever felt like a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court? If not this video will trigger that feeling.

There is nothing I love more than unnecessary fusions of seemingly unrelated ideas/items/foods/businesses/art forms that produce fantastic results. I am putting “Country Hip Hop” up there with the all time great combos of chicken and waffles, Siskel and Ebert, steam and  punk, and Leroy’s Auto Shop and Candy Store where the Now and Laters taste like anti-freeze and unicorns.

The question you are probably asking is why should this make feel like Hank Morgan, protagonist of  A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court? Well this video represents an alternate past, future, and present. Its awesomeness is so great that it should create a “time traveler’s paradox” in your soul. You should wish to be apart of the time stream where “Country Hip Hop” swept the world and opened the door for other unique hybrids like Emo-Jazz, Brit-Mex cuisine, and courageous Senate with a Democratic majority. I long  for the world that could have been…You should long for it too.
